My passion for photography all started with my interest in bird watching. Birds have always fascinated me, whether this be because of how many species of bird there are, there ability to adapt, there behaviour, calls or, simply there beauty.
I used to hold binoculars and watch, but never felt fulfilled in only observing. I had to capture birds with a camera.
The practice of bird watching is peaceful and places you in the present, within a chaotic world.
Bird photography can raise awareness on how to protect our wildlife and look after the environment.
My aim is to showcase how important birds are because of the below;
Some birds pollinate plants.
Birds control the number of insects.
Birds spread seeds bringing plants back to our ecosystem.
Birds help manage the habitats which we need to store carbon and release oxygen.
For my bird photography, I use a Nikon Z9 with a 600mm lense.
